Nancy Reynolds Elementary School
Dragon School-Wide Discipline
In order for students to thrive in their learning environment it is necessary to follow our school-wide discipline plan. Our plan consists of the DRAGON’S code of conduct which consists of consequences for misbehavior and rewards for positive behavior.
As a DRAGON:
... I will be RESPECTFUL
… I will be RESPONSIBLE
… I will be SAFE
... I will ROAR!!!
Each color has a different meaning:
Blue – Outstanding (they went above and beyond what was expected)
Green – Ready to learn (everyone starts off every day on this color)
Yellow – Reminder (like a warning)
Orange – Stop and Think
Red - Uh Oh, Mrs. Rose’s Office
Daily/Weekly teachers will mark in your child’s planner what color they are on for the day. Please make sure, you as a parent, sign their planner nightly/weekly as well. This planner is a great communication between parents and teacher.
** NOTE Some offenses may require immediate referral to the principal’s office. In these cases we will follow the Stokes County Schools Student/Parent Handbook list of offenses and consequences.
Consequences:
Yellow – student will reflect on his/her misbehavior/reason will be written in your child’s planner
Orange – will complete a behavior reflection sheet/student will call parent (teacher will make sure parent contact is made.
Red – sent to the principal’s office
Rewards:
Sincerely,
Nancy Reynolds Staff
